About Mir Namath Ali, DO

Dr. Mir Namath Ali is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and image-guided procedures for spine and musculoskeletal disorders, including epidural injections, nerve ablations, peripheral joint injections, spinal cord stimulator trials, trigger point injections, kyphoplasty, and ultrasound-guided injections.

Dr. Ali focuses on rehabilitation medicine to restore movement and function, helping patients with daily activities and quality of life. He uses a multimodal, holistic approach with emphasis on accurate diagnosis and collaborative treatment planning. He is trained in Electrodiagnostic medicine (EDX) for diagnosing and treating various conditions.

For undergraduate studies, Dr. Ali attended Kent State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with minors in Biology and Chemistry. He completed medical school at Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, receiving specialized training in electrodiagnostics, ultrasound guidance, musculoskeletal medicine, and traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. During residency, he presented case studies at national conferences and spoke at local seminars.

Following residency, Dr. Ali completed fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Virginia iSpine Physicians in Richmond, Virginia. He learned minimally invasive and percutaneous spine and joint procedures and served as sub-investigator on research studies including peripheral nerve stimulation, regenerative medicine for lumbar disc material, and bio-restorative intra-articular injections for knee osteoarthritis.

Dr. Ali maintains involvement with professional organizations including the North American Spine Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

A Bryan, Ohio native, Dr. Ali enjoys cardiovascular and resistance training, athletics, traveling, concerts, Jeopardy!, NBA basketball, and time with family and his significant other.
